Who is Pure Care Maintenance?
Pure Care Maintenance (formerly Pure Maintenance of Eastern PA) is an established 5-Star Google Reviewed home indoor air quality company formed in early 2020. The Company was formed by a group of specialists with over 20 years of experience in the home and commercial maintenance industry, who've spent the past 5+ years extensively researching, practicing, and perfecting the science of pathogen disinfection, mold removal, and odor removal.
-
How do I know I have a mold issue that needs your Company's services?
Whenever you see any kind of mold growing in your indoor spaces.
Whenever you smell musty odors in your home.
Whenever you have a water intrusion issue(flooding, burst water pipes, roof leaks, etc.) anywhere in your indoor spaces. Or, if you don't keep your indoor humidity levels low on a regular basis.
Whenever you feel better away from your home than when you're in your home.
When air quality tests taken by a mold inspector result in the spore counts being higher in your home than outside your home.
Whenever you've had a dirty ventilation system cleaned. Or, if you had only a certain
section of your property remediated for mold, and not all of your indoor spaces remediated. In either of these cases, the untreated areas are likely contaminated with excessive mold spores.
-
Is your mold removal treatment safe?
The ingredients in the sterilant used to create the dry gas fumigation process is non-toxic. Once fumigated, nothing poisonous or harmful is left on surfaces, and it's completely safe for people and pets to return to the indoor spaces almost immediately after the fumigation is completed.
are very strong,
and can cause irritation to the eyes, skin, and lungs if you are
present while they are being used without proper personal
protective equipment. By the time you're permitted to return
to your home or business after remediation, there is no danger
to you or your pets. In fact, doctors refer their patients to us
because the active ingredients of the chemical in our InstaPURE
process (hydrogen peroxide and peracetic acid) are on the EPA's
Safer Choice listings. Rest assured that all our staff are trained
on safety and required to don the appropriate personal
protective equipment when handling the chemicals used in our
processes.
-
How long does the mold removal treatment take?
All occupants(including pets) will need to prepare to be out of the home or facility for up to 14 hours, because the fumigation gas
is too strong to remain in the indoor spaces while being treated.
Fish aquariums and live plants will also need to be removed during the treatment.
Also, the treatments are recommended to take place overnight. The fumigation gas does not work as well during daylight hours
due to the ultraviolet light coming through windows can burn off the fumigation gas before it fully treats the spaces.

-
Will the treatment get behind my walls and ceilings?
The fumigation gas particles are extremely microscopic(as small as 0.124 nanometers or .0001 microns.
A mold spore is between 4 and 30 microns. Thus, any place that your average spore can fit into, the gas particle will also fit.
In special situations where there is a known mold issue in a small area behind a sealed wall or ceiling, we can poke a few 1/8 inch holes between the surfaces' studs to treat inside the wall or ceiling cavity. Otherwise, it's highly recommended to remove the entire sealed surface area to treat the infected area.
-
Will I need to clean everything after the treatment?
Not at all. Our process leaves no visible or tangible residue, so your home or facility and all items in it will be disinfected. Normal,
weekly cleaning to maintain a healthy, dust- and debris-free environment should continue as usual.
-
Does the visible mold disappear after it's treated?
No. Even though the gas fumigation treatment kills the mold, the visible remains of the now dead mold, or the mold staining,
does not disappear.
The dead mold's appearance will fade over time. However, we can offer to include the removal of the visible remains of mold for an additional fee.
-
How will I know the treatment worked?
Your technician will take an air sample or other
sampling methods upon completing the treatment. The sample is then sent to an independent, accredited third-party laboratory. The test results are then returned to us and shared with you via email in 4-6 business days after the treatment.
-
How long does the fumigation treatment and antimicrobial last?
The gas fumigation treatment will permanatly kill the molds and mold spores currently invading your indoor spaces. Provided you don't have any further water intrusion or excessive moisture issues, you should not have any future mold issues.
The second step antimicrobial application will offer protection from the build up of mold spores for 90 days.
