Mold & Odor Removal Service FAQ

How do I know for sure I have mold in my home? +

Mold grows on damp surfaces like bathroom walls and trim around
windows, or on surfaces that has or had water saturation, like in
areas of a burst water pipe, leaking roof, or flooded basement.
Molds may look like furry growth, black stains, or specks of black,
white, orange, green or brown.

If you don't see obvious visual signs of mold on the surfaces of a
structure in your home, but have an area or areas of your home
that had a sustained level of water intrusion or dampness,
especially if that area has a "musty" smell or water staining, you
likely have a mold issue.

The one sure way to know you have mold is to have a certified
mold inspector visit your hold and take air qualiry mold spore
tests.

How do i know when mold needs to be removed from my home? +

Whenever you see mold in your home.

Whenever you smell musty odors in your home.

Whenever you feel better away from your home then when you're
in your home.

When air quality tests taken by a mold inspector result in the spore
counts being higher in your home than outside your home..

How do I prepare my home for the Two Step Dry Fog process? +

The below video explains it perfectly:

Is the Dry Gog process safe? +

The chemicals used to create the dry fog are very strong,
and can cause irritation to eyes, skin, and lungs if you are
present while they are being used without proper personal
protective equipment. By the time you're permitted to return
to your home or business after remediation, there is no danger
to you or your pets. In fact, doctors refer their patients to us
because the active ingredients of the chemical in our InstaPURE
process (hydrogen peroxide and paracetic acid) are on the EPA's
Safer Choice listings. Rest assured that all our staff are trained
on safety and required to don the appropriate personal
protective equipment when handling the chemicals used in our
processes.

Will it get behind my walls and ceilings? +

Our patented technology creates a 7.5 micron sized particle.
A mold spore is between 4 and 30 microns. Thus, any place
your average spore can fit, the fog particle will also fit. In
special situations where there is a known issue behind a wall
or in a ceiling and the drywall can be salvaged, we can poke a
few 1/8 inch holes between the studs to treat inside the wall
or ceiling cavity.

Do I need to cover up everything in my home? +

No, in fact, you want to keep as many of your belongings in
the home exposed to the dry fog process. Mold spores get
trapped inside fabrics, furniture, clothing, mattresses, etc.
and all of those things should be treated as well.

When it comes to expensive paintings and wall art, many
people feel more comfortable taking them down or covering
them with a blanket. Brass and real silver might oxidize and
tarnish. You can buff this out afterward, or you may wish to
cover or remove those items.

Fruits and other foods can be left out. The chemical used in
InstaPURE has been FDA approved for food contact and food
contact surfaces, but to retain the fresh taste of your produce
you may want to place it in a zip lock bag or refrigerator.

Will I need to clean everything after the treatment? +

Not at all. Our process leaves no visible or tangible residue,
so your home and all items in it will be clean. Normal weekly
cleaning to maintain a healthy, dust- and debris-free
environment should continue as usual.

What does the mold look like after the treatment? +

Even though the mold is dead, the stains that the mold has
created will not go away with the dry fog alone. It's darker
colors will fade over time, but, we will include the removal
of visible remains of the mold in our remediation estimate.

How will I know the treatment worked? +

Your technician will take an air sample and other applicable
sampling methods upon completing the treatment and
send it to an independent third-party laboratory. We use an
accredited mold lab that has no affiliation with any mold
testing or mold remediation companies. About 3-4 business
days after the treatment, you will receive the lab results via
email.

How long does the Two Step Process last? +

The products used in the EverPURE process provides a
verified protection for up to 90 days (3 months). However,
if all moisture and water issues are resolved and the
building remains clean, this is possibly a very permanent
solution. If necessary, the products may be reapplied
every three months for continued protection (we
recommend for high traffic areas) or if odors, mold,
mildew, or staining appear again.
